Regions and routes

Being able to open a platform’s homepage doesn’t mean the title you want will play. Check the platform’s rules and your account access first, then choose a route and test playback.

Route coverage and access availability

VPNJI offers 110+ countries / 150+ routes, with no device limit for simultaneous connections. These figures describe the route network, not the regions where each platform is available. Current service information does not guarantee access by platform and region; availability on this page is marked as unverified.

Platforms may change content licenses, account region rules and how they identify exit IPs. Past playback on a route can help guide your choice, but it does not guarantee future results.

Platform and region availability checklist

Use this table as a starting point for verification, not as a list of confirmed platform access. “Unverified” means the service information does not confirm support; it does not mean access is confirmed or ruled out. Region notes describe what to check. Suggested routes are starting points, not a guarantee that an exit IP in a given region will pass a platform’s checks.

Platform × region requirements × availability × suggested route
Platform Region requirements Availability Suggested route & what to check
Netflix Region of the target content library Unverified; no fixed regions guaranteed Start with routes designated for streaming; search for the title and test playback
Disney+ Account region and content availability Unverified; no fixed regions guaranteed Choose an available route in the matching region; check account eligibility and device compatibility
HBO Max Local platform service and account rules Unverified; no fixed regions guaranteed Confirm the local service is available, then test sign-in and full playback
Hulu Platform service regions and account requirements Unverified; no fixed regions guaranteed Check region and account eligibility first; don’t rely on the route name alone
YouTube Premium Membership region and feature eligibility Unverified; regional membership benefits are not guaranteed Choose a route for a stable connection; check video playback separately from membership benefits
Prime Video Account market and content licensing region Unverified; no fixed regions guaranteed Use a route in the matching region; also check your account market and title access
BBC iPlayer Platform-specific regions and eligibility Unverified; no support information for the relevant region Check the route list for an eligible exit region, then verify access under the platform’s rules

VPNJI route examples include Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, the United States, Australia and Switzerland. This does not mean the listed platforms are available in all of these regions, nor does it confirm that VPNJI has exits in every region a platform requires. The current routes available to you are listed in your user dashboard.

What does “access” mean?

Streaming access generally means a platform accepts your current network exit and allows you to view content licensed for that region. It involves several separate checks: whether the site connects, whether you can sign in, whether the title is in the library, and whether the player can load the media. Passing one check does not guarantee the next.

Content licenses are set by region and may change with release plans. If a title doesn’t appear in search, first check whether it’s still available in that region. Reconnecting won’t change the licensing if the title isn’t in the library. If you can see the title but can’t play it, check your account access, any proxy warning and the player’s network requests.

A network acceleration plan and a streaming membership are separate services. VPNJI provides route access; it does not include platform memberships, the right to purchase titles or eligibility for regional accounts. Follow local laws and platform terms, and don’t treat switching regions as a substitute for account eligibility.

Native IPs vs. residential IPs

Native IP: a description of regional association

“Native IP” is a common industry term, generally referring to the relationship between an address’s registration details, its geolocation and its actual exit region. Definitions vary between providers. An address registered in one place won’t necessarily be identified as belonging to that region by every platform. Platforms may use their own databases, past activity and other network signals.

Residential IP: a description of network type

A “residential IP” usually refers to an exit address associated with a residential broadband network. The term describes the network provider and address type, not the location itself. A residential exit isn’t necessarily dedicated to one user, and a native exit may belong to a data center. Confirm location, residential status and whether the IP is shared or dedicated separately.

VPNJI’s service information makes no delivery guarantees for native, residential or dedicated IPs, so this page does not list them as plan benefits. Even routes labeled for streaming should be checked with an actual playback test. An exit IP’s type is only one clue; it cannot replace a full check of your account, the title and the platform’s detection.

What 4K and Dolby Vision playback requires

4K playback requires a sustained throughput that can keep up with the video’s current bitrate, plus headroom for bitrate changes and buffering. Bitrate varies by platform, encoding, scene and adaptive streaming settings, so no single bandwidth figure applies to all content. Check the platform’s current official recommendations and assess playback performance.

A peak speed test result doesn’t guarantee sustained streaming performance. The player connects to the platform’s media servers, which may use a different route from the speed test server. Congested home Wi-Fi, downloads on other devices and route instability can all reduce picture quality. To compare routes, pause large downloads and use the same title on the same device.

Dolby Vision is an HDR format, not simply a higher resolution. The title, platform membership tier, app version, display and playback chain must all support the format. When using an external device, check its video output settings and connection as well. A faster connection alone can’t add Dolby Vision support to an incompatible display.

Browser and native app playback may also have different copy protection and picture quality limits. If playback is smooth but the resolution won’t increase, check the app, account and device capabilities before blaming the route. Network problems typically cause buffering, interruptions or picture quality changes as the connection fluctuates; format compatibility issues may consistently cap quality.

Verify routes based on playback results

  1. Check your account and title.Confirm your membership status, the title’s regional availability and the platform’s rules. Note which app or browser you use so you’re comparing like-for-like playback conditions.
  2. Choose a route for the right region.Find the target region in your subscription and start with routes labeled for streaming. If there’s no exit in the required region, don’t assume a route elsewhere is an equivalent substitute.
  3. Check app routing.Make sure the client is connected and that traffic for the platform uses the selected route. The homepage, sign-in requests and media may use different domains; routing only the homepage through the VPN isn’t enough.
  4. Start a fresh playback session.Stop playback, close the app and reopen it. If needed, follow the platform’s guidance for clearing the cache. Before clearing anything, make sure you can sign in again so you don’t mistake a logged-out account for a network issue.
  5. Test full playback.Search for the title, start playback and check picture quality and buffering. Repeat the same steps after switching routes. Homepage access or a visible title thumbnail alone doesn’t count as a successful test.

Track these results separately: “signed in,” “title visible,” “playback successful” and “picture quality as expected.” If only one title fails, check its licensing first. If the platform shows a proxy warning for all content, check the exit IP and routing. Change one thing at a time so you can identify what made a difference.

Common error codes and troubleshooting

Error messages can vary by app version, and an error code alone doesn’t diagnose the cause. The checks below are common starting points. Use the full message on your device and the platform’s help documentation; don’t assume every error means the route is unavailable.

Netflix:NW-2-5

This usually points to a network connection issue between the device and Netflix. Check that your local connection works, then check the client connection, routing and DNS. Compare results on another supported device. If only the current device fails, start with its network settings.

Netflix:UI-800-3

This is often related to stored information on the device that needs refreshing. Follow the platform’s help steps to restart the app or device, and refresh your sign-in if needed. Check the app cache and session before comparing routes, so you’re not switching exit IPs while using an old session.

Netflix: M7111-5059 or a proxy detection warning

This may mean the platform has identified the exit IP as a proxy. Check for other proxy extensions or network clients running at the same time, make sure media requests use the same exit IP, then test another route in the matching region. If the issue persists after switching routes, don’t claim that region is supported.

Region unavailable or content won’t play

First check the platform’s local service regions, your account market and the title’s licensing. Platforms such as Prime Video may consider both account details and network exit, so switching network regions may not change your library. If only one title is unavailable, check its release region first.

Playback works, but it buffers often or picture quality drops

Pause other downloads, check your Wi-Fi connection and compare routes using the same title. If lowering picture quality restores smooth playback, check sustained throughput and connection stability. If the HDR indicator never appears, check the title, device and membership eligibility.

When to contact support

After checking your account, device and routing, contact support through the user dashboard if the same error persists across routes in the same region, or if the connection works but a platform still won’t load. Include the platform, target region, route name, client and operating system, time of the issue, full error message and steps already tried.

Blur account details, payment information and subscription URLs in screenshots. Never include passwords or subscription credentials. If the problem only happens on an external playback device, include how it’s connected and which app you use. These details help distinguish network, account and device issues better than simply saying “it doesn’t work.”

Streaming data usage and plan selection

Streaming data use varies with viewing time, picture quality, encoding and platform settings, so a data allowance can’t be translated into a fixed number of viewing hours. Before choosing a plan, check your usual usage in the client or user dashboard. Auto quality settings can also change data use, so note whether picture quality changes when you test routes.

VPNJI monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date. Mid-cycle upgrades are prorated for the remaining days. Data add-ons: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB and ¥658/3000GB. Use them as needed; they never expire. Data allowances don’t indicate platform access tiers.

There’s no limit on simultaneous devices, but streaming on multiple devices still uses data and shares your local network. Supported platforms: Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. Check platform requirements separately to see whether your device is supported and can play at the desired quality. Get your subscription after signing in; a valid plan is required to download the client installer.

Payment methods: Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. A 60-day money-back guarantee is available. Create an account with a username and password; no email address is required. Before choosing a plan, identify your target platform, region and device, then check the available routes. Don’t assume that broader route coverage guarantees access to every streaming platform.

The only way to confirm is to test the title on your current account, device and route. Platform policies can change, and route labels or past results can’t replace a playback test at the time you watch.
